Pousada dos Corais

Nice....

Top!

We spent the last weekend at the Pousada, and the cleanliness really left a lot to be desired. On the first day, there was no electric shower, and we woke up to a terrible smell in the room because the bathroom drain was clogged. After we complained, they fixed both issues, so that part was fine. The receptionists were fairly helpful, but not friendly. The two women working in the kitchen were rude and unfriendly, in a bad mood and grumbling the whole time. They even spoke badly about other guests in front of me. They seemed annoyed when we asked for eggs or tapioca to be made fresh, since they weren't prepared in advance. I wonder if the staff act this way because the owners don't visit often. The owners should come by more or change the staff, or the place could seriously risk closing. I would not go back!

The room was simple but had split air conditioning, a minibar, and a TV. Breakfast was good, though there weren't many fruit choices, and the women serving it were attentive, friendly, and helpful. The location is excellent. I'll definitely stay at this pousada again.
