Pousada Principal

Really nice!

In Jeri, I see three kinds of inns: the very expensive ones, the very cheap and shabby ones, and places with a great balance of quality and price. Pousada Principal is definitely a good quality option at a fair price. The location is great, and the rooms had new mattresses, new air conditioning, and an electric shower that worked perfectly. I booked four rooms for my group and checked them all. Room sizes vary, and mine felt a little cramped for three adults. There weren't enough hooks for hanging things, and the bathroom was very small. It's really a room for sleeping. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. It's simple but tasty, with the basics: fruit, bread, cake, pudding, cuscus, coffee, milk, and juice. You can also ask for tapioca or an omelet made fresh, both delicious. The inn's internet was good everywhere. There's a market and pharmacy across the street. I started arranging everything months before the trip and had no trouble before or during the stay. The employees were always friendly. Especially Lara, or Sara, I'm not good with names. She always checked whether the rooms and group were doing OK. One tip: don't buy any tours from the little wooden booth next to the inn. It's a rip-off. That has nothing to do with the inn, though. Loucos Por Jeri is definitely a great option for tours.

After we had checked out and were already on our way home, they messaged us to say they’d found the R$ 50,00 my nephew had left in the room. We hadn’t even noticed it was missing. They sent the money back by Pix, which says a lot about their honesty. I’m grateful to the person who found it and returned it, and to everyone at the pousada. It’s lovely to know people like this are still around.

The breakfast was such a treat, especially the cheese tapioca, with birds singing nearby. The women serving breakfast were so warm and attentive, and Karina kept checking that my mother and I were doing well and had what we needed. She’s a wonderful person. Our room was spotless and smelled so fresh, and the air conditioning, minibar, TV, and shower all worked perfectly. The pousada is close to supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants, and the village felt safe and was a pleasure to be in. We stayed at Pousada Principal for five days, and felt welcomed and respected from the moment we arrived. Paula and Lara were already helpful and attentive when I first got in touch to book. We’re so grateful for the whole experience. My mother and I would recommend this place without hesitation, and hope to come back soon. Wishing you all continued success!
