Pousada Toca Jeri

This place was awful and nothing like the photos. The bathroom wall in our room had a huge hole in it, and the whole place badly needed a deep clean. It felt really strange there. The only bright spot was Neide at breakfast, who was very friendly and helpful.

We paid R$400 a night in January 2026. The pousada is simple and quite far from the center and main streets, so I didn't think the price matched what we got. The room was small and the bathroom cramped, though both were clean. For comparison, I stayed in a much better located private apartment with a large room and kitchen right in front of Barra Grande beach in Piauí, and that was R$430 a night. The pousada itself was clean and well organized, and the breakfast was very good.

Jhonatan was thoughtful enough to have housekeeping wait until the next day to clean my room because my travel agency wasn't picking me up until 4 p.m. I hadn't asked for a late checkout, only a place to leave my bags. When I checked out with Neide, who was cleaning, I learned what he'd arranged. That meant I could shower and rest before leaving, which was great since I was traveling alone and felt safer. Such a kind gesture. The room was clean, organized, and comfortable, with working air conditioning that seemed to have a thermostat, so it didn't get unbearably cold. There was space for my suitcase, soap, a hot shower, soft toilet paper, and towels. I borrowed a hair dryer too, which saved my evening. Breakfast was excellent, with bread, eggs, cakes, and juices. Right from the start, Jhonatan helped fix my reservation after I'd booked the wrong weekend. Before I arrived, he messaged to ask if I needed help getting to the pousada, and he welcomed me warmly when I got there. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

It's a simple pousada, but everything is very clean and organized. It's close to the center of Jeri, so you can get around on foot. I highly recommend it.
