Flat 427, Imperial Flat Tambau NOBILE

The food was very good, with a delicious breakfast and a nice à la carte dinner. We watched the New Year's fireworks from the terrace, and it was beautiful. The beach is nice and fairly clean, and people were generally friendly and helpful everywhere we went. Service was okay, though the rooms felt a bit bare and cold. João Pessoa, Praia Tambaú, and Imperial Tambaú are highly recommended.

The staff were very nice and helpful. Our first room smelled strongly of damp, but they moved us to another one quickly. The second room was okay, though it had lots of woodworm. Leave anything sweet out and it gets covered in them. Breakfast was one of the worst I've had at a hotel, and I didn't dare try any other food apart from fruit. Not having fresh juice in the northeast of Brazil is a real shame. João Pessoa might be worth considering if you get a good deal here; otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. There aren't many good hotels in João Pessoa, perhaps none, so good luck. Tropical Tambau is a good option if you can get an updated, refurbished room.

The view is lovely, and the hotel is very close to the beach. There are facilities in the building, including a good-sized pool, gym, and sauna. The pool is nice if you'd rather stay in than go to the beach. Rooms only sleep more than two if you use the couch as a bed. Furnishings vary from room to room: some bathrooms have hairdryers and others don't, and some rooms have a large refrigerator while others have a small one. The hot water isn't very warm, and the shower is a bit clogged so water doesn't drain properly. The curtains are dirty and moldy, which makes the rooms smell strange at first. Staff seemed a bit rude and didn't ask how the stay was going. They don't provide extra sheets or mattresses. There's no restaurant service or breakfast at the hotel.

It's a noisy spot, but handy for the beach. There's no rooftop bar, the pool's water filter was out, and the steam room seemed out of service. Wi-Fi was weak in the room, and the old central air conditioning was quite loud.
