Urbano Park Hotel

Loved it.

We only stayed because there were no other vacancies in town. The hotel wasn’t good, and the price was far too high for what we got. In the room, some shelves were broken, some lights were out or dim, and the bed linen smelled bad or seemed unwashed. The front door wouldn’t close unless we slammed it hard. Breakfast was basic. When we arrived in the early hours to sleep, a party was going on in the same grounds as the hotel, with lots of noise and people. The PM arrived quickly and managed to sort it out, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The reception staff were very nice, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The room itself was spacious and looked decent at first, but the double bed was made from two single mattresses pushed together. There was nowhere in the room to throw away rubbish like a can, water bottle, or paper, and there was no housekeeping service or phone, so everything meant going downstairs to reception. The shower controls for adjusting the water were kind of odd. Breakfast was disappointing, with little choice, and the area was dark. The place also felt a bit neglected, and what we paid didn’t match the accommodations. We wouldn’t come back.

It’s a cozy place, and the breakfast was well served. I was looked after by the owner and her daughter, who were both very welcoming. The older rooms are much cheaper and very simple, but that fits the price; the newer ones cost a little more and are better. It works well for an overnight stop when you’re passing along the highway. I recommend it, and I’ll stay here whenever I’m heading to Londrina. It’ll be part of my route.
