Opara Palace Hotel

I found a parking spot inside the garage, and the price was quite affordable. The whole team treated me well. The room was cleaned every day, and the internet always worked when I needed it, with an excellent signal. The air conditioning and shower worked perfectly throughout my stay. I don’t have any negative feedback. Excellent stay and service, congratulations!

Opara turned out to be just right for us. It’s by the waterfront, on a quiet square, and our large front-facing room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom that worked properly. We were looking for somewhere well located and cheap in Juazeiro, knowing that choosing a low price means keeping expectations in check. The breakfast was simple, but offered much more than you’d expect at a cheaper hotel. A special mention for the kind housekeeper, dona Sônia. As people in the Northeast say, “What a friendly woman!” One small thing: we went out in the afternoon and left the window open, which made the mosquitoes happy. The night employee gave us a remedy, and they were soon gone.

It’s a beautiful, tidy, but old hotel. The structure is still good, though it needs maintenance, and the cupboards and equipment are old too. You can tell it used to be an excellent hotel, but these days it’s living in the shadow of its past, with a fragile structure.

The location was the only good point. For what the hotel offers, the price is exorbitant. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work properly, so it was uncomfortable, and there was mold on the walls. The smell in the hallway was unbearable. The internet was awful and barely worked, making it hard even to send an email. Service was pretty average, apart from one attentive and polite woman at reception. This stay was extremely disappointing. I don’t recommend the hotel and definitely won’t be back.
