The room itself was average for the price, and I’ve had a better Airbnb with a pool in the city for less. But the bigger problems started before arrival. I sent multiple messages after booking to ask about a late checkout because my flight to Brazil would arrive delayed, and nobody replied. I got an email confirming the reservation with directions, then arrived at 3 in the morning after a 12-hour flight and a 2-hour drive, only to find the company had sent the wrong address. At the other hotel, the magnetic card they gave me didn’t work. At checkout, the woman at the counter insisted for five minutes that I couldn’t be checking out of that room because it had already been checked out. She refused to check the information until I found my receipt, then admitted she had checked out my room to someone else.

The only real plus was the location above the best bar in town, with cafes and a good barber nearby. It’s supposedly new and improved, but felt like a low-end chain hotel in the States. The service was slow, it was expensive, the floors were peeling, finishes were coming off the walls, and the design was weird, almost ridiculous.

Everything else was good, and I’ll probably come back soon. It’s a nice hotel right in the city center. I’d suggest improving the TV signal and adding a heater.

The staff were polite, breakfast was good, and public transit is easy to reach. The room was comfortable and spacious, close to downtown.

The bedroom was nice, breakfast was great, and room service was decent. The leisure area needs a renovation.
