Hotel Fazenda Pedras Brancas

We stopped at Hotel Fazenda Pedras Brancas for Sunday lunch after leaving the hotel where we’d been staying, and we loved it. The meal was delicious and nicely prepared, and live music during lunch made the quiet, welcoming place even nicer for a family outing. The staff were excellent, friendly, attentive, and helpful from the moment we arrived. It’s also a big plus that the place allows pets, especially for people traveling with their four-legged companions. We noticed the hotel is undergoing renovations and improvements, and it seems the new management is putting a lot of care and investment into making the facilities better for guests and visitors. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we’re already thinking of coming back soon to spend a day there and see more of the place. Highly recommend it!

The kids loved the horseback rides and ATV rides, and they’re already asking to return. The food was tasty and home-style, a great fit for the rural setting. The whole team showed care and dedication, and we felt at home, surrounded by new friends. We booked four rooms for the family. There was one issue, but the team promptly sorted it out by giving us another room. The management’s practical response was a real plus. The heated pool was still being adjusted during our stay, though it was clear the team was working to get it fixed soon. The hotel has only recently resumed operations, so it’s natural that some adjustments are still underway. None of that got in the way of our experience. Staying at Hotel Fazenda Pedras Brancas felt like stepping into Santa Catarina’s history and the story of a traditional family from Lages. As Brazil’s first farm hotel, Pedras Brancas has a special emotional and symbolic value, and being there makes you feel part of a living memory. The working rural property offers an authentic taste of country life, with local food, “causos,” and traditions known to people who live in that setting. The children also enjoyed hearing Sr. Ader Godoy share stories about the hotel, Festa do Pinhão, and local legends. Sandro, the owner, is clearly committed to guests’ well-being and to restoring the hotel as a leading destination for rural tourism in Santa Catarina. Marcio, the manager, was attentive from our first contact and worked to make sure we felt comfortable and welcome. Getting a place back on its feet takes understanding and cooperation. Hotel Fazenda Pedras Brancas seems to be moving in the right direction and working toward its former standing in Brazilian rural tourism. We recommend the experience and definitely want to do it again.

We spent a weekend there to relax, and the whole team, from the cook to maintenance and reception, was top-notch. The food was good, and the heated pool was great for unwinding. We chose the hotel partly because it accepts pets. It’s under new management, and they’re working to bring it back.
