Great.

The restaurant had good food, and the whole Day Use felt like a great deal close to Lagoa Santa. The bathrooms were clean and the service was good. I was impressed. There’s a pool, green space with nature, play equipment, and even an area for barbecuing. I expected it to be packed, but it was really quiet.

The restaurant is where I spent my time, so this review is about that service. There weren’t many dishes to choose from, and the prices felt high for the quality. The beer was warm, and when I asked, I was told there wasn’t any cold beer available. The place itself is pleasant, with excellent facilities that are kept in great shape. I think the space could be used better and the service improved, perhaps with some consulting or by paying close attention to the reviews here. I’d welcome a response from CEP’s management. I’ll add that if they reply arrogantly, as I’ve seen in other reviews, I won’t come back or recommend the place. We’re all here to learn and improve from other people’s feedback. For clarity, I wasn’t there on a Saturday.

The biggest plus for me was being able to bring my dogs everywhere. Nobody complained about them, and I had no problems. The staff were good, the price seemed fair for the one night we stayed, and breakfast was simple but tasty. The grounds are lovely and huge, though they need attention in a lot of areas and can feel neglected. The pool was clean, but it also looks like it needs maintenance, with very dated finishes. The room and bathroom were spacious, the bed was okay, and the room was basic. It wasn’t very hot when I visited, so the fan was enough, but I imagine it gets quite warm in hot weather. The shower could be better too. It could work for a weekend of rest, as long as you don’t arrive with high expectations. With a renovation and better landscaping, this beautiful place could become a real standout. The music by the pool was loud.
