We got to the Pousada around 9:30 p.m. after a full day of work commitments and business meetings. Even at that late hour, the team welcomed us warmly and politely, and it was clear they wanted everything to be in order for our stay. The receptionist was especially kind and attentive, and even walked us to our room. That small gesture meant a lot after such a tiring day. The Pousada is simple rather than luxurious, but it’s cozy and delivers on comfort, cleanliness, and value for money. Its location in Lauro de Freitas makes getting around easy, with access to main roads and nearby supermarkets, pharmacies, bakeries, restaurants, and cafés. Shopping centers are also easy to reach, which is handy for work or leisure trips. Lauro de Freitas is considered a gateway to Salvador, and travelers often choose the area for its easy airport access and nearby services. We had a very positive stay, especially because of the team’s hospitality.

We spent four days at this Pousada in a triple room, with my wife and our two young children. The stay wasn’t very good. The room was extremely basic, old, and in poor condition, with just two beds, a TV, an old air conditioner, and a bathroom without a full shower enclosure. There were no sheets when we arrived, so we had to ask at reception. The room was also near an area where staff gathered, and twice we were woken early in the morning by loud conversations. The Pousada itself is basic too, with a small balcony and a courtyard for parking. The spaces aren’t well organized. If you arrive late, you may have to park in a throughway, making it hard for cars to move around. Breakfast had few options. Staff service was uneven: the owner was polite, but the others weren’t friendly. One employee who also served breakfast was always grumpy and showed no interest in welcoming us. We’d only recommend it for an inexpensive overnight stay. We don’t think it’s a good choice for a longer visit.

My worst experience ever. I want to express how dissatisfied I was with my stay. During the five hours I was there, the excessive noise made it impossible to rest or relax properly. There’s a factory next door. The place was also infested with mosquitoes, which made me even more uncomfortable and left me sleeping badly. These problems affected my stay and the quality of service I expected. I hope they’re taken seriously, since they’re essential to providing even a minimally satisfactory stay.

The minibar smelled moldy, and after staying for a few days, I can say it was the worst experience. The beds were uncomfortable, there were lots of mosquitoes, and the noise from the nearby industry was horrible. Be careful about rooms near it. The bathroom shower enclosure was far too small, making this an extremely uncomfortable Pousada. They pretend to treat you well, but it’s all a mask.

After driving for 10 hours, I reached the guesthouse around 9 p.m. and was told at reception that there was no booking under my name. Booking showed that the owner had canceled it. I couldn't assess the property itself, but the way the owner handled this was, at best, poor and discourteous. A reply to my message, even one refusing the booking, would have saved me the trip and my time. I travel for work and regularly review the places I visit or stay in. The owner had requested advance payment through Booking, but the card charge failed because I keep that card only as a booking guarantee. I contacted them through the app and heard nothing. As late as January 29, the booking still appeared reserved, though flagged because of the payment issue. The review below with the same photo was posted by my wife, who works with me. She was also upset by how the place treated us, which is why we used the same photo to show that we had been there.
