Recanto Paraiso Sitio Régis

A top place.

Excellent.

The place is far away, and the accommodation was awful. There was nothing provided. I got there around 8 p.m., with nowhere nearby to grab food and not even water in the room. The only thing there was an old, empty minibar fridge. When I got in the shower, the wiring started catching fire. No one was around. The owner had left just a young guy to welcome me, and when the shower wiring caught fire, there still wasn't anyone there. I messaged the owner, and she told me to finish showering in an empty room. I went over, but gave up because that bathroom was filthy. Never again.

The rooms themselves were clean, which mattered most for our one night, but I won't be back. We arrived after a long trip during a busy weekend, and only that day did the owner tell us the rooms had no electricity because of a party that had taken place. And what a party it must have been: the place was filthy, with a green pool and cups, plates, and cans scattered on the floor. The owner let us stay in her house instead. It was clean and smelled nice, though we shared it with other guests. Early the next morning, a bunch of pigs showed up and rummaged through the trash, even eating cans. To make matters worse, there were a lot of cats, and their litter box was right in front of the kitchen. Getting there wasn't easy either, the road is really poorly laid out.
