The front of the hotel and the grounds look beautiful, and the pool area is nice. Breakfast was enjoyable and offered lots of choices. My room was cozy, but there were dead bugs in the ceiling light and the balcony door lock was broken. The bathroom door, which seemed termite-infested, was the biggest nuisance because it took a struggle to open or close. When we told the desk, we were basically given to understand that we should have paid for a more expensive room. Most staff were nice, though the young woman at reception needs customer service training. She didn’t make eye contact or seem to acknowledge guests. There’s potential here, but the details are being neglected despite the money spent on the facade. Further inside, the broken pool bar chairs, decaying Children's Park, and 1987 "Fitness Center" make the need for serious repairs clear. It was okay, but I’ll stay elsewhere next time.

The food was good and generously served, and breakfast tasted good too, but dinner service could take ages. My fillet parmigiana took almost two hours to arrive. The restaurant team seemed confused and poorly trained, even bringing me order slips for a different room. The staff themselves were helpful and treated us well, so I see this as a training issue. The bungalows were old, dirty and dusty, with termites and a terrible smell. The beds and pillows weren’t comfortable, and the shower was awful, sometimes the water wouldn’t even get hot. I had to change bungalows several times, and each one had some ongoing problem. This place has a reputation for being fancy, but for the high nightly price it’s not worth it. There are cheaper places that are better, and others at the same price that are far better. Worst hotel experience of my life. I wouldn’t return or recommend it unless they renovate.
