A great hostel with a really good vibe, and Barbara was a wonderful host. I stayed in the single room, which was clean and in good condition. There was free coffee, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

After our three-day hike, we wound up in the wrong location and needed a motorcycle taxi, which cost 400 reais for a one-hour ride. Our cards were blocked, so we couldn’t withdraw cash. I asked Barbara, the manager, to lend us 400 reais and offered to repay her right away by credit card, with another 20-30 euros as a thank-you. She just said, “Go to the bank, we don’t do that.” We didn’t speak the language, our physical cards were blocked, and only our digital cards worked, yet she wouldn’t help. It was absolutely disappointing. The room was so tiny that even two backpacks wouldn’t fit, and although there was a fan, there was no outlet to plug it in. There were cockroaches in the kitchen, one crushed on the cutting board, and an aggressive, deaf dog ran around barking and trying to bite. Barbara was very unfriendly and completely unhelpful. Seriously, how can someone be so unhelpful in that situation? DO NOT BOOK!!

Amazing garden, and the place was clean, peaceful and very accommodating. I had the best sleep in a long time. Really nice pousada, great for a night before or after Vale do Pati.

Such a cute, great little hostel. The owner and staff are so nice, it’s clean, and the vibe is calm and chill. 10/10!
