The balcony had a fantastic view, and though our room was small, it was very clean. Breakfast was a treat, especially the cassava and coconut cake, along with the local specialties and tapioca. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and it’s clear hospitality matters here. I’d happily come back 😊

The rooms were cramped, with barely enough space to turn around or put our things. It was stuffy without air conditioning, and there was only a fan. The accommodation itself is quite old and simply furnished. Staff didn’t speak English, but they did their best to explain things with Google Translate.

I chose Pousada Bela Vista after comparing prices and what was included, and I’m glad I did. I stayed in Lençóis from 17/10 to 24/10/18 to visit Chapada da Diamantina. It’s a simple but cozy place, with a clean bed that was welcome after a day out and a great shower. I had a room with air conditioning and a balcony where I could dry clothes and sneakers. The owners were very hospitable and always ready to help, and breakfast was made with a lot of care. I loved staying there.
