Hotel Central De Lins

Nice.

At checkout, I was surprised to be charged half a day just for charging my car. Apparently that was the manager’s instruction, though the manager didn’t speak to me. I’d noticed the hotel has solar power, but I paid anyway and won’t be back. The hotel is well located, the room was okay, and Renan at reception was great and very helpful. He even provided an outlet for charging my electric car, which I’d driven from SP. I charged about R$20 worth using an inefficient 10A outlet.

For a short stay, it does the job well. It’s a practical place to sleep while stopping in town, with good value, a great location near restaurants, markets, and ice cream shops, and free parking. Breakfast was good, especially the vegetable pie. The water in Lins is a distinctive plus: the high pH and therapeutic properties make it feel velvety on the skin when showering and help you relax. A few things to keep in mind: the outlets are 220V, and the elevator flow is confusing because it goes down to the ground floor before going up. The bathroom door in my room had no lock, and water pooled in the shower stall even after the shower was off. The old air conditioner was noisy, but it did cool the room. The clothes closet is extremely tall. Also, the bathroom window faces other windows, which affects privacy. You can see into other rooms through the glass when their lights are on, so I assume people can see in from outside too.

The WhatsApp service was extremely disappointing. Throughout the exchange, the team seemed unwilling to help and wasn’t very helpful. When I asked about a quadruple room, they bluntly told me to look for another hotel instead of suggesting alternatives or possible solutions. Replies took a long time, questions weren’t clearly answered, and some responses were rude. They aren’t prepared to serve companies.
