The apartments are old, the TVs don't work, and the air conditioners roar like diesel engines. The manager was shockingly rude and showed no empathy. If that's how he treats the staff too, he shouldn't be in this job. It was a horrendous experience, and I strongly advise against staying here. This is the worst hotel service in the area. Avoid it at all costs.
Breakfast was very comprehensive, and the shower worked well. The pool is about the size of a large bathtub, and the place is relatively cheap and well located. Our room had no glasses, cups, or cutlery. The air conditioner was noisy and blew straight at your face even on its lowest setting, and the toilet seemed like an afterthought, crammed right beside the door.
The hosts made us feel welcome, and breakfast was fantastic. I also liked being near the little street market and the main parks. The room connection was the downside: sounds carried from next door, and I could smell the other guests' marijuana smoke.
I’ve stayed here twice and had excellent service both times. The rooms are spacious with great city views, and breakfast is a buffet with lots to choose from. There’s parking, a taxi stand across the street, and Uber is an option too. You can walk to the city centre, though getting to places like the airport, botanical garden, and lake takes a car. There isn’t much cutlery in the room, so we had to eat out. Still, I’d recommend it.
For such a low rate, it’s a decent place. The location is close to downtown, breakfast is good, and the rooms come with a full kitchen. They’re quite dated, though, and the ventilation shaft carries noise between rooms easily. The pool is tiny, and the gym only has basic equipment.
