The breakfast was very basic: one fruit option, papaya, plus bread, store-bought cake, toast, ham, and cheese. Margarine and jam were set out on guests' tables because there was no counter or other setup for people to serve themselves without getting in each other's way. The place is a makeshift hostel created from a large old house, and it's far too expensive for what's offered. The ratings here and on Booking don't match the facilities or services. I wouldn't recommend staying here. This is a hostel, not an inn. My room felt improvised, with very thin drywall walls, so you could hear everything, and there was mold on the ceiling that the owner hadn't taken care of. There was no toiletry kit, not even a small bar of soap for the sink. The pool shown in the photos isn't available to guests. The rooms had neither TVs nor mini-fridges, so there's a shared kitchen. I left a water jug, a Coke, and a small water bottle there; despite cameras in the area, my bottle was stolen, and the owner did nothing about it.

Mr. Roberto is a really pleasant, welcoming host, and the place was very clean. The mattresses in suite 9 were great, with two bunk beds. It's a simple but comfortable place to spend the night if you're heading to Foz do Iguaçu, about halfway from São Paulo. Great value for money.

The pool isn't for guests, but the place is clean and well organized. Service was good, the location was convenient, and it was peaceful, with good value for money.
