Pousada Canoeiros

Great.

I came here fishing with my family and was really impressed. The place feels cozy and good for everyone, and everything is clean with great service. The photos on Google are old, though, since everything here is new and has improved a lot. There just aren't many food choices at mealtimes. Honestly, you could spend your whole life in one place here.

We won't be coming back. We visit Luiz Alves every year, and this time we chose CANOEIROS because of its facilities. The beautiful posts on INSTAGRAM made us want to stay there, too. The building itself looked impeccable, the beds were good, and the towels were clean. That was about it. Breakfast was really poor: the baked goods didn't seem fresh from their taste and appearance. Lunch and dinner were basic and didn't match the physical facilities. For five days we had cold water for bathing. They moved us to another room once, but the water stayed cold every day. One day, a staff member was sniffing a tourist's underwear along with the tourist. We had to ask them to tone it down because it was getting uncomfortable. They apologized and stopped the indecent behavior. After our stay, our group posted comments on the inn's Instagram about our experience. The inn removed us as followers and deleted our comments. On top of that, people connected to the inn's family tried to discredit products sold by one of our group's members who had stayed there. They went to her company's Instagram and started disparaging her products because of what she'd said on the inn's page. They don't accept customer feedback, and they resorted to dirty tactics over something they don't even know. I'll leave a screenshot to show what I'm reporting. My advice: instead of acting this way, they could deal with these issues more professionally. Disappointing to have to report all this.

We had a wonderful stay as a family, with my two daughters, ages 5 and 7. Everyone looked after us really well, from the kitchen and bar staff to the rest of the team. They were all polite and helpful. The inn has clean rooms, new beds, Wi-Fi throughout, and the place is spotless, with lots of trees and a completely family-friendly atmosphere. The food was wonderful, including the snacks, portions, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks that were always really cold. It's one block from the river and has its own dock for putting the canoe in and taking it out. Markets, distributors, a fishing shop, and a bait shop are nearby. The facilities and organization are great. I'll come back whenever I can, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
