Comfort Suites Macae Macae

I spent a month here for work, and it was one headache after another. The Wi-Fi kept dropping for hours, was basically unusable, and never got properly fixed despite my reporting it repeatedly. The staff seemed indifferent whenever something went wrong, or made vague promises that led nowhere. Even simple requests could take days, if they were handled at all. Nobody followed up, apologized, or tried to put things right. After years of travel, this was easily my worst hotel experience. If you need reliable internet or basic hospitality, look elsewhere.

The room flooded during heavy rain on my last stay. I called reception and asked for help clearing the water, but nobody came, even after I’d waited more than an hour. And service is terribly slow: I once waited an hour and ten minutes for toast and coffee, even though I ordered at the restaurant. Choose another hotel if you can.

The view was gorgeous, and the beach and lots of restaurants are just a few steps away. The staff were welcoming and polite, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Food was really good and not too expensive, and breakfast was included with a nice variety. I only wish the towels were fluffier.

The rooms seemed clean and well maintained, but the common areas gave me a different impression. The hotel is in a good spot right across from the sea, though the inside feels very basic. There’s no business center for meetings, or even a meeting space with air conditioning. The rooftop breakfast area looks like a canteen, and the food selection is very limited. Room service doesn’t offer fruit if you want something light. I wasn’t impressed.
