We only found out how expensive the laundry was after the washing was done. It cost about 15 times what a local laundry five minutes away charges, and our clothes came back smelling bad.

The breakfast was decent, with a fair range of typical Brazilian food. The rooms, though, are old and extremely basic. Mine had three beds crammed in, plus a broken door latch that clearly hadn't been maintained. It seems more suited to a single night before heading off to work, and the photos make it look better than it is.

They really need to add more vegetarian choices to the restaurant menu.

That big balcony had a lovely beach view, and the room itself was clean, quiet, roomy, with a very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. The room service staff were friendly and helpful. I spent six days quarantined here for Covid prevention and couldn't leave my room, so that may have affected some of my impressions. The A/C was modern and quiet but leaked so much water into the room that I used a trash bin to catch it overnight. It filled to the brim three times during my six days. Getting food was a struggle. I could only order restaurant room service, and the phone was usually busy. It took ten calls to get through, and there was no online ordering. The menu was dull, and the kitchen couldn't get even a lasagna or simple pasta with cheese right. The pizzas were chewy, tasteless, and badly cooked. The fish was okay, with one good cod special and a respectable picanha as the exceptions. The Smart TV worked, but the cable channels were poor quality and limited. Wi-Fi kept cutting out, which was a problem while working remotely. Breakfast came wrapped in so much plastic that one week's waste seemed like a month's worth for a household.
