The location is handy, near all the shops in the Cavaleiros neighborhood, right across from the beach with a lovely view. The price is affordable compared with nearby hotels. The kitchen doesn't work and there's nobody at reception, so all contact is through WhatsApp. It's fine for arriving, sleeping, and leaving your bags while you explore. There's a restaurant next to the guesthouse, plus a snack bar and a bakery on the corner.
It's really bad. There’s no service at reception, and WhatsApp messages barely get you any information. There’s no breakfast either. It's only really good for sleeping and taking a shower.
The view and access to places are the only things going for it. Everything is broken or out of order: the microwave and kitchen don't work, the TV has no remote and gets only a couple of channels, and the air conditioner has no power plug, as if it's meant to stay off. There's no outlet by the bed or even a headboard to set your phone on. The place is extremely dirty, not just the rooms but the kitchen area too, like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The price isn't affordable either. This is more somewhere to spend one night and leave first thing in the morning.
The location is excellent and makes this a good value for money. The guesthouse is simple but very comfortable. My room was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning, TV, and minibar all worked perfectly.
Simple guesthouse, but the location is wonderful. The staff were polite, the service was good, and the price was very affordable.
