This is an affordable business hotel right on the beach in Macae. In Rio, hotel rooms are usually just okay unless you're at a resort. Here, the rooftop pool is nice, and the beach is less than 50 meters from the front door. Quite nice, with a very busy beach and midsummer Brasilero vibes 😎

The breakfast was good, but the hotel feels old. The rooms need refreshing, the shower doesn't work, and the walls are dirty.

I attended an event there rather than staying overnight. The hotel has a nice setup and good service for events, and it can seat around 400 people comfortably. The only issue was that the air conditioning needs maintenance.

I've stayed here periodically over several years and haven't seen any renovation or improvement. Standards and room cleanliness are poor. The furniture is very worn and needs replacing, especially the bathroom equipment. In many rooms, the air conditioning either doesn't work or is extremely noisy. The restaurant food is low quality, and some rooms even have ants. I wouldn't recommend a longer stay. One night is survivable, but more than that could be a challenge.

The seafront setting has a two-kilometre promenade that's great for walking or jogging. The hotel feels a bit shabby, probably from the sea air. There's a small rooftop pool and a fitness suite, but the electrical connections are very dodgy. Breakfast buffet was quite good; dinner buffet was a letdown, so choose à la carte instead. Given the choice, I wouldn't stay again.
