For about $50.00 US with breakfast, this is a great deal, and I would stay here again. The hotel is a few blocks from the beach, with some really great restaurants nearby and an area full of food trucks. The buffet had lots of choices and was very nice, though seating can be limited if you arrive at the wrong time. The guest rooms are sparse, but adequate if you're only there to sleep and shower. I was surprised there were no clothes hangers, robe, washcloths, or even a blanket on the bed. You might expect some front desk staff to know basic English even in a Portuguese-speaking country, but it wasn't until my last day that I found one person at the desk who spoke English. Staff also don't seem trained to give customers the right of way when passing, which felt odd.

For the price, this hotel is excellent. The gym was pretty good, and the pool and jacuzzi were nice, though the jacuzzi rules were confusing. Nobody told me that I needed a reservation. The room was nice, but the bed could have been a little more comfortable. The location isn't the best, although plenty of things are within walking distance.

People around the city know this hotel well, and its location is good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the place is well organized. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
