Saint Patrick Grand Hotel

The staff were attentive and very helpful, and breakfast had plenty to choose from: scrambled eggs, shredded meat, tapioca made to order, cakes, yogurt, and more. If they have the chocolate cake, try it. The location is handy, with lots of shops nearby, and the street comes out opposite the giant chair in Maceió. My room was well sealed, so street noise didn’t get in. It’s small, but works perfectly well if you just need somewhere to sleep. The bed and shower were good, and the sheets and towels were in good condition. There was also a hair dryer and a large mirror. The only real hassle is the small garage. Parking a large car could be difficult, especially if you’re not great at maneuvering.

The free garage is a real plus in this area, especially if you’ve rented a car, and the breakfast was tasty. The staff were generally polite, and the new, modern facilities make a good first impression. Still, the hotel promises a bit more than it delivers. We found dirty towels in the room, which isn’t acceptable. The room was comfortable but quite small, and the air conditioner control is fixed to the wall by the door. If you want to change the temperature at night, you have to get out of bed. That’s a nuisance for a place calling itself “Grand.” It’s a decent option in Ponta Verde, as long as you’re aware of those issues.

The rooms are so cramped that one person has to stand in the hallway corner just to let the other walk around inside. Rooms on the ground floor are really noisy. Breakfast was freezing, several guests were shivering.

The location is great, just two blocks from Praia Ponta Verde, across from a large pharmacy and other shops, and fairly close to a supermarket. Breakfast is generous for the price, and there’s even an espresso machine. Service was very friendly, and I’d stay here again. It’s an Express-style hotel, so things are practical. The room is small but adequate, with a good smart TV and modern spot and LED strip lighting in both the room and bathroom. Free parking is a rare perk around here, though the lot is so tight that parking takes several maneuvers. You can also try for a space outside in front of the hotel.
