The breakfast was the one part that fell short for me. It was just coffee, bread, and cold cuts, with no other choices. The inn itself was my first stay, though I already knew Rancho do Ricardinho and had heard good things. We were treated well from arrival to departure, and the simple rooms met all our needs. It really is tucked away in the woods, and getting there can be tricky if you don't know the area. There’s no cell signal, and nowhere nearby to eat at night, but the staff gave us the number for a pizzeria that worked out for us, and let us bring other food too. The service and food otherwise were wonderful. We’ll definitely come back.

Getting food is a problem because the place is so far from everything. You’ll need to order pizza or go hungry. They charge extra for everything, even coffee and five minutes in the pool, and lunch or dinner aren't really options. The access is awful, in a remote place called Mato Dentro, and the accommodations are just as bad, extremely basic. The rooms are tiny, about 2 by 2, with no air conditioning and the smallest fans I've ever seen. If you need to flush the toilet, they give you a builder's bucket to fill outside and pour into it. Avoid this place!

If you don't know the area, it's an awful place to get to, way out in the middle of nowhere. The service was rude too, and the staff weren't prepared for hotel work.
