The massages were a real highlight, and getting in and out was easy and professional. The private villas also made the stay feel quiet and personal, with each one having its own look. The gardens were lovely and clean, and the animals seemed well cared for. The food was harder to justify at this price, especially with the property more than an hour away. When there’s no buffet, the menu is very limited, even though the resort grows much of its own produce. More choices, a complimentary meal, or some other compensation when services aren’t available would help. The pools also needed better upkeep for a place charging this much. Some villa colors felt a bit too bold against the forest; earthier shades would fit the setting better. It’s a peaceful, beautiful retreat with great spa treatments, but the food, pool maintenance, and value need work. We enjoyed parts of our stay, though it didn’t leave us eager to return.

Waking up to birds and walking the trails near Swan Lake were highlights of the grounds, which include lavender fields, tucked-away gardens, wildlife areas, and 300,000 square meters of space. The villas, designed by architect Ruy Ohtake, felt elegant but cozy, with fireplaces and Acqua di Parma toiletries. The gardens were immaculate, and there are indoor and outdoor pools. Luciana made us feel at home. The staff were warm and attentive, with personalized check-ins and daily sweet treats in the room. At Chez Victor, Chef Daniel Aquino’s Mediterranean-style food made with organic garden produce was a treat. We especially enjoyed the menu confiança, and breakfast had plenty of fresh local flavors. Pandora Spa and the thermal baths were deeply relaxing. We tried the chromatic hot tub and massages, and our massage was just perfect. Unique Garden Hotel & Spa brings luxury and nature together in a peaceful setting near São Paulo. We had an exceptional stay.
