Hotel Ana Cassia

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff are friendly. It's an old hotel in a nine-floor building, but the Wi-Fi is very good. Breakfast is unlimited, with cakes, fruit, tea, coffee, bread, ham, and eggs.

The location worked for getting to the harbor and city center, though the city itself is ugly in general. Staff were helpful and moved me to another room, but that one also had no desk chair and wasn't as clean as I'd expect. Oyo sounded like a hotel chain, so I expected basic standards and cleanliness. The first room fell short: the air conditioning had no control, there was no chair at the desk so I couldn't really work, and water was leaking from the toilet. It was a cheap place, at least.

The view is unique and the local juice is awesome. Breakfast was very good, and the location is perfect. But time has clearly taken a toll on the property. It needs modernization and a better elevator, and the pool is pretty old.

Everything is close by, with the water port, market, and tours just a block away.
