Pousada Casa na Arvore

Great.

The only thing going for the pousada is that it's right on the sand. Inside, it was filthy. The sheets were old, torn, and stained, the mattress was grimy, there were cockroaches in the room, the minibar was packed with ice, and the toilet was broken. The breakfast was a joke, too. It could have been a good place, but it feels like they want to make money without putting anything into it. I didn't need luxury, just basic hygiene, decent lighting, simple repairs, and a decent breakfast. A real shame. I can only give it one star because there's no zero. I keep wondering whether the reviews were bought or guests have very low standards. It's surreal how people end up there misled, like I was.

I went by the photos and reviews, which really don't match the place, and ended up getting caught out. This is the worst pousada I've stayed in. The cleaning was poor, and the disgusting sheets looked like floor rags. Good luck trying to get anything to eat at breakfast. The fan was covered in dust, and there was debris by the bedroom door. A zero for everything.

Right on the beach, with really great service. It was a lovely place to unwind for a couple of days. Locals like this beach, it's very family-friendly, and you can easily spot turtles.
