Hotel Areias Belas

The pool is a nice place to spend time, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Our room felt comfortable and clean, though the bathroom could use more space and the shower taps could be placed better. The outlets are all 220v, and having a fridge in the room was handy. I first tried a cheeseburger from the restaurant. It was fine for a quick bite in the afternoon, though nothing special, and seemed a little pricey for what you get. After having dinner there a few times, I found the prices were about the same as other places in the area. The food was good, just not great. I’ll know more in a few days.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, just what we needed. With two kids, being right by the beach was especially convenient, and all the COVID precautions helped us feel safe. The staff were so attentive. If you go, try the carrot ginger soup, and ask Vera for a massage. Her hands were magic after a long trip.

We had wonderful food at the hotel restaurant, probably among the best in the city. The atmosphere helped set it apart from places that always seem to play the same song. The hotel was also a good deal compared with other options, and right by the sea. You can walk along most of the beaches in maragogi by leaving the hotel, turning left, and continuing past the beaches of the fancy resorts. Go in the morning while the tide is still low, since that’s when the route is walkable. The hotel added a lot to our great time in marogogi.

The staff were really nice, and the food was excellent. Try the dinner menu and caipirinhas if you stay here. It was the best food I ate while in Maragogi.
