Pousada Água de Fuego

The rooms are neat and tidy, the food is good, and the service is pretty quick.

A really great place!

The location is the strongest point: the pousada is across from Praia do Camacho, and you can reach the center by walking along the sand. Breakfast was fair and had some good choices, but it all felt quite average and the menu repeated over the days. The staff were polite, nothing more. In general, the pousada is simple and its facilities fall short. I was in a second-floor room, where there was practically no sound insulation. On some nights, the rain hitting the balcony was loud enough to wake me. The curtains were worn and didn’t block much light, so the room got very bright at dawn and made it hard to rest. The air conditioning worked well, though, and the beds were comfortable. There was also a musty smell in the room, and I couldn’t change rooms. That really affected my stay. Overall, the place felt short on cleaning care, including in the rooms and even on the sheets. The pousada needs better attention to hygiene and investment in its facilities to make guests more comfortable.

We stayed in May and found this pousada peaceful and comfortable, with everything we needed for a pleasant visit. It’s excellent value for the price. The beach is only 30 meters away, and the town center is 10 blocks off, a lovely walk along the beach. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very attentive.
