Pousada Da Orla

Breakfast had lots of options, and the woman who helped us during the meal was a sweetheart. Isabel, who handled our checkout, was lovely too. Room 10 was comfortable, clean, and smelled nice, but the air conditioner condenser made noise the whole time, and the bathroom had no window. They say the shower is hot, but it was completely cold, haha. Even though it's by the beach, the location is awful, smelly, and ugly.

The staff and location were the only things I liked about our March stay. I wouldn't return. The inn looks nothing like its photos, though their photographer is impressive. The rooms are extremely small, with hardly any room to move, and have no windows. The breakfast area is tiny too, with so few tables that there's never enough space to eat. When we arrived, we asked for a 50% refund, which the tourism office had told us they were required to provide. They refused. I honestly don't recommend this place.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the service was excellent. There were lots of breakfast choices too. All in all, a great place to stay if you're coming to Maragogi.

Please look closely at the Pousada photos. The room has no window, only a small opening like a bathroom vent facing the corridor. I felt trapped and worried that if there were a fire, there wasn't an extinguisher anywhere and I could die before getting down the stairs. I don't understand how the Pousada was allowed to operate. I slept there one night, then left the next day because I felt suffocated in the room. I asked for my money back and got nothing. The most striking part was the reply: “Thank you for informing us about the situation, and we sincerely regret that the experience did not meet expectations. We understand the discomfort you described. However, we want to clarify that the Booking listing for the room category you chose includes real photos of the accommodation and shows no window. The room description also does not say that it has a window or outside ventilation.” Please don't make the same mistake I did.
