The best...

The pool deserves its own mention: it stayed sunny until the last bit of daylight, and the water was warm, clean, and clearly well cared for. Breakfast was just as memorable, with several juices, coffee, milk, breads, tapioca made to order, little savory snacks, and cakes. My daughter loved their chocolate cake so much she brought a piece home. We’d originally booked somewhere else, then spotted BARRA TRIP and were drawn in by the rooms, pool, and breakfast. We’d never even heard of BARRA GRANDE on the Maraú peninsula before, so finding this pousada felt like such a lucky surprise. We spent seven days there and loved the beaches, the village, and the place itself. Carioca welcomed us warmly and helped with our bags. When the water was out on our second morning, he went to sort it out and offered us another room. Ours was more spacious, so we stayed put. It was a good-sized room with a nice shower and bed. My daughter’s bed had a problem, but they fixed it quickly. Pool towels were brought right over when we asked, and everyone tried to help with a good attitude. Carioca, CLAUDIA, PINGOOOOOO, and the staff were all attentive and ready to explain things or lend a hand. We also found a lovely sunset spot on the road behind the pousada, by the beach near Mutá. There’s no need to go all the way to the tip of Mutá, you can see it perfectly well from there. We’re in ITACARÉ now, and honestly it doesn’t come close to BARRA GRANDE or BARRA TRIP. We already miss it, especially that one-of-a-kind pool. Thanks, CARIOCA, Claudia, and Pingo, who really is the star of the show. Such a sweetheart! We’ll definitely recommend the place back in SP, and maybe we’ll be back before long. Patty, Soso, and Alê loved every bit of it.
