Casa Barrabella was a lovely place for our family to stay, with tasteful decor, a beautiful house, and an incredible view. We enjoyed every minute and hope we can return. The whole property was so well kept, and you could tell the owners put a lot of care into it. The staff were just as wonderful, friendly and thoughtful, always willing to help and making sure we had a great stay. A real hidden gem in Peninsula de Maraú.

The beach is only a few steps away, and it’s about a five-minute walk into town. We came for a local wedding and a vacation, and we’d come back in a heartbeat if it weren’t so far away. It felt like a wonderful break from the outside world. The pool was great fun, and the woman at the pool bar made the best caipirinha I had during our time in Brazil. The room was good, and breakfast was tasty every day with something different each morning. Everyone on staff was pleasant and helpful, especially Franco, who really went out of his way for us. A couple of small things to know: bring your own toiletries, since soap and shampoo are only replaced if you ask. Towels left on the floor get changed, and if you need more than two, just ask. Those details didn’t take away from the five-star stay.
