Farol House

My wife and I loved our stay. Vinícius was a great host, and the room was excellent. It was completely quiet nearby at night, which is great if you like that. The guesthouse is close to the best spots, including the beach, the lighthouse, bars, and restaurants. I'd definitely recommend it.

The apartment had a lovely view, a quiet street, and a garden with coconuts, lemons, and cashews. There were movies, series, and games on the TV, and a caretaker was available. They could also arrange a pickup from the bus station. The location is handy for several neighborhood sights, including Farol/Gruta do Farol, Ilha das Pedras, Gruta/Praia da Sacristia, and Praia de Ponta Negra, all reachable on foot. The center is about a six-minute walk, with markets, restaurants, pharmacies, a bakery, ice cream shops, and bars. There were some problems inside. The shower was burned out, and one bedroom with a bathroom was closed off, then opened without warning. Its toilet flush was faulty and the room wasn't clean or ready to use. The kitchen looked clean, but the fridge smelled strongly when opened. The sheets and blankets were stained, there was dampness around the bedroom outlets, and the bathroom sink we used was poorly secured. I'd suggest airing out the house before guests arrive, adding air conditioning in at least one room, and checking that the items put out for guests are clean.

We loved the place and the stay. Everything was clean and smelled fresh, and that view makes you not want to leave. The service was lovely too, and the price was really affordable. Definitely worth it. Can't wait to come back ❤️

A great spot to unwind, with the sea in view and its sound nearby. Farol de Ponta Negra is right in the neighborhood, and the local shops are only about two minutes away. Highly recommend it!
