GoldMen Select Maringa

The food at the restaurant was good, and breakfast was simple but good for the price. The location is convenient, with everything nearby. The rooms, though, were in pretty poor shape. My first room was filthy, with mold on the headboard and the air conditioner dripping onto it, so I asked to move. They changed it right away, but the next room still had an old, moldy headboard and a dirty shower stall glass. Maybe the renovation they're doing will improve things, but right now the condition is really rough.

I was staying on a floor with no Wi-Fi, and they never fixed it during my four days there. I was in town for work and a course, and needed internet to work at night. The service fell short. The rooms are basic, and noise comes in through the window, so comfort is minimal.

The rooms are simple, but extremely comfortable, and breakfast was spectacular. The staff were incredibly polite. This hotel exceeded our expectations, and is well worth it if you're looking for comfort and good service.

The bed was good, and the shower was good. Breakfast was acceptable, but cleanliness could be better. The receptionist should be trained better: he was in a bad mood, spoke so quietly that I could hardly understand him, and was very slow and muddled. Unfortunately, that first impression stuck.
