The place is beautiful, with a lovely view of the Rio that runs behind the property, and the hosts were excellent at keeping us supported throughout. We rented it for New Year's Eve. Some upkeep is needed, though: the chalet door latch was broken, there were worrying cracks in the walls of the bathroom near the dining room, and the games room smelled musty. The lighting could also be much better overall. Still, it's a good place.

The weekend was special and uplifting, with time for spiritual growth, fellowship, and connection with God. I took part in Retiro Restauração at Recanto Alegre, and it was an incredible experience. The place is well equipped, with pools and comfortable rooms with bunk beds, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The organization was excellent too, with four delicious meals a day so everyone stayed well fed and energized. I recommend it to anyone looking to renew their faith and spend peaceful days.

I can't comment on the lodging or service because I didn't stay there. The place is beautiful and very green, though, and seems worth spending some quiet time at. The access road isn't bad.
