The town itself was one of the best trips I’ve taken, and I’d gladly go back. Monte Verde is beautiful and cozy, especially at night. But I paid 900$ for one night, a price where I’d expect top-notch service based on places I’ve stayed in the Northeast. The breakfast wasn’t on site and was very basic, with few choices for that nightly rate. The chalet’s bathtub was small, the water temperature was hard to control, and there wasn’t room for a separate shower or bathroom, so I had to climb into the tub and shower inside it. The TV only had basic channels, and the internet was slow. Renan was very attentive at first, but there were a few times during the stay when he took a while to respond.

Emílio welcomed us so warmly at the family chalet. It’s close to the center, and the paved road ends almost right in front of the pousada, while most places in the village are reached by dirt roads. Everything was clean and tidy. There’s no heater, but the blankets were clean and really warm, so we never felt cold. Excellent stay.

The chalé amor da pousa was spotless and well organized, and I really liked staying there. It is genuinely near the center, though you do need a car to get there. I’d happily come back.

The window looks out onto the woods, and the chalet felt cozy and nicely kept. It’s in a great location and is a lovely choice if you want somewhere quiet. Thanks to Fabiana for hosting us.
