Pousada Vila Suíça

When I arrived at the inn on 15/05/2026, a cat greeted me right at the entrance. The place looked abandoned, with a large, unmaintained garden that gave an impression of neglect. I checked in anyway, hoping the chalet would feel pleasant and cozy. But when I opened the room, I was disappointed by how dark and uncomfortable it was, and by the extremely strong smell of mold. I'm allergic to mold and couldn't stay in there for even five minutes. I had to leave immediately and take medication because of the reaction. It was a horrible, frustrating experience. I had no choice but to ask to cancel the stay and find somewhere else.

We were very happy with our stay. The rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. The welcome was always polite, and the two lovely cats charmed us.

Pousada Villa Suiça is close enough to Monte Verde's main street that we left the car parked and walked around easily. We loved it and will be back. The room was spotless, smelled fresh, looked nice, and was very comfortable, with a large bed. The bathroom was immaculate, and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was just the right amount to avoid waste since we could choose what we wanted.

The location made it easy to walk to the main street, and the breakfast was delicious, generous, and good quality. They brought it to our room. We stayed with my wife from 15 to 17/01/2026. Fabiana welcomed us warmly and upgraded us to a superior room. It was extremely clean, beautifully scented, and well organized. The gas shower was a real highlight, absolutely fantastic. Sr. Adauto, the owner, was also kind and friendly, and we had a lovely conversation. The inn has a lot of charm, with plenty of greenery, birds, and squirrels that come eat from your hand. We loved staying here and recommend it!
