VELINN Pousada Flor da Montanha

My fiancé and I spent the weekend there, but it wasn’t quite what we’d hoped for. The hot water on the chalet’s Jacuzzi didn’t work, and they only fixed it as we were leaving. We liked the breakfast, but we won’t be going back.

The reception and staff were great, breakfast was really tasty, and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. The rooms were fine, but the heat made them unbearable on very hot days. There’s no air conditioning or even a fan, and around two or three in the afternoon the room gets too hot to stay in. We left a day early and lost the cost of one night because the heat was just too much.

The location is right in the center, and the staff, Marli and Ivone, were so attentive. The chalet was lovely, spotless, and just perfect, with a great shower and whirlpool tub. Breakfast was wonderful too. I had an amazing stay. Thank you both for everything.

The location and breakfast were the only things I liked. The rest of the stay was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it or return. The woman who welcomed me was very rude, something I had never experienced before. The bedding didn't smell fresh, there was no shampoo or conditioner, and the bath foam was poor quality, with only one sachet provided. Noise from the chalet above disturbed me constantly. They charged for fireplace wood without warning me beforehand, which I found completely wrong. The inn felt neglected.
