The food was the main problem. We ordered barreado, a pastel, and sparkling water for lunch at Bistro Bella Morretes. The barreado was so salty I couldn't finish it, and there were only a few thin pieces of banana to balance it out. The rice was poorly cooked, and the pastel mostly tasted of old frying oil. The bill came to around R$120. It felt like easy money taken from tourists drawn in by the atmosphere, and the kitchen and greedy management are to blame. I can't comment on the hotel itself, only the restaurant. Bistro Bella Morretes doesn't appear on Google Maps, though I'll send an edit request, so I'm leaving my comment here for now.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Absolutely perfect.

We were exhausted and needed a place to rest, so we stayed despite what happened at check-in. I asked about the nightly rate and was told R$ 280,00. I only went across the street to get our car, and when I came back about five minutes later to check in, they said the price had gone up to R$ 400,00. That felt very disrespectful to a customer. The stay got worse from there. The air conditioner was so loud we couldn't sleep, and we had to switch it off and endure the heat, which was around 37 degrees that day. Breakfast was very poor, with few choices, and the juice was spoiled, which is unacceptable. We had to sleep on the mattress cover because they refused to provide a sheet and pillows. I have reflux and needed an extra pillow, but they denied my request. This pousada depends on tourists, yet showed us little respect. Based on my experience, I won't return and can't recommend it.

Breakfast is included in the rate, and it was great. We tried a room with a balcony overlooking the square and watched Carnaval from our spot. There was plenty of space for two, the bed was very good, and the shower was good too. The room also had a minibar and air conditioning.
