Pousada Casa 1915

Casa 1915 gave us such a warm welcome, and I want to thank them, especially Simone. She made the whole experience so comfortable and wonderful for us. The coffee, cake, and flavored water were delicious, and you could see how much care and attention went into everything. Simone was like a fairy godmother to us. We're so grateful to Casa 1915 and Simone, recommend them a thousand times over, and will of course be back.

It was my first time staying in Morretes. There aren't many options, and I chose this place based on its location, price, and online reviews. The price fits what's offered, and the location is great for getting around on foot. Parking is free on the street; I found a spot easily right in front. The staff were friendly and polite, and suggested nearby restaurants for dinner. I ended up going to Terra Nossa. The room and bathroom were spacious and simple, and everything was clean. The electric shower worked well, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well too. Sound insulation could be better, though you have to consider it's an old house. The other guests were quiet at night, so nobody disturbed my sleep. Breakfast was simple but everything tasted great: coffee, juice, fruit, bread, and cake. The quality and flavor were better than at many more expensive hotels.

We arrived around 4 p.m. and easily found a spot right in front on the street. Parking gets harder closer to lunchtime. The pousada is in a great location in Morretes' small historic center, where you can walk everywhere. Wear comfortable shoes, definitely no heels. Getting around is even harder if you have mobility problems because the historic center streets are cobbled. Our room was a spacious double. It had a rustic style, but smelled lovely, including the bed and bath linens. The bed was made by joining two single beds, both wide, and the firmer mattress was comfortable for us. Everything was very clean. The simple shower heated well and had good water pressure, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Shampoo and soap were provided. There's an unheated pool with a deck and four loungers that I saw, plus a reading area and a lovely decorated hall. The pousada itself is charming. There's also an attached cafe where we had something delicious when we arrived. We were welcomed warmly by the receptionist and a woman, perhaps the owner or manager, who gave us great tips on restaurants and local products. Breakfast is simple but more than adequate. That day there were four kinds of fruit, bread, mozzarella and white cheese, ham, yogurt, coffee, milk, oats, granola, and two kinds of simple cake. I just missed having cheese bread. In room 03, the Wi-Fi signal fluctuated quite a bit, which could be an issue if you need to work. One more thing: the courtyard beside the pousada has several restaurants with very loud live music until 11 p.m. If you go to bed early, it could bother you. The sound was awful, but it didn't bother us.

The pousada is well located and the stay was wonderful. The staff were really polite and kind, and everything was clean and organized. Breakfast was tasty and had options. Congratulations to the pousada 1915 team.
