The location is the one real plus, since it’s easy to get to the city center. The price felt very high for what the hostel offers, and the stay was disappointing. The pool was dirty, as were other areas, and the receptionist was curt and paid us no attention. We stayed from December 9 to 10. The hostel has many structural problems. We were given a room as a couple, but part of the bathroom ceiling had fallen when we went in. The replacement room was a little better, though the windows had no locks, which made us feel unsafe. The bunk beds seemed to be just two single beds stacked on top of each other, with nothing securing them together, so they felt very dangerous. There were no mirrors in the rooms or even in the bathroom.

The owner made us feel at ease, and we could use the kitchen and store things in the fridge. It’s a comfortable place, and the rooms are good, though it would be helpful to have a mirror in the room so guests aren’t limited to the bathroom one. This is a well located hostel in Bragança, with private and shared rooms. It’s near the square and restaurants, and the waterfront is about a seven-minute walk away. Breakfast has what guests need.

The rooms were okay, but the hostel has a lot of structural problems. Rain leaked through the ceiling during our stay, the breakfast selection was limited, and the upstairs kitchen was often dirty with dishes left unwashed. Someone should check that the breakfast dishes are clean. Twice I was surprised by a cockroach smell in the cups and had to throw my drink away. The breakfast did include bread, cheese, ham, and fruit, along with cake. But cake left over from one day seemed to stay out into the next, and the melon and watermelon we tried seemed closer to spoiled than fresh. The owner should pay more attention to the quality of the food, not just the amount. There is no car parking, and I think there are better options in Bragança. They did offer to move us to another room. Still, moving for just one night would have been a real hassle: I was with my 65-year-old mother, my brother was feeling unwell with stomach problems, and we had several bags. The inconvenience would have been unavoidable.

The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, and seemed to care about making sure guests were happy. Breakfast is simple, with juice, cake, and bread, but it meets your needs well. The hostel offers private and shared rooms, and is well located in Bragança, Pará, near the square, hospital, snack bars, and restaurants. I recommend it and will definitely come back.

We stayed in a room with a bathroom in the hallway, and it was really clean and perfectly fine. The bedding and towels were clean and smelled fresh, the air conditioning worked well, and the pool was great. Breakfast had plenty of options, and the place was simply and comfortably decorated. The staff were polite, helpful, and quick to respond. For an event like Trilha do Trem in Bragança PA, with nearly 600 people, having somewhere welcoming that would look after our bikes was a big deal. Hostel Guarimã had space to store them. There’s no parking lot, but finding a spot for the car wasn’t a problem. The location is perfect, near the main avenue, squares, and lots of bars. While some people in our group were complaining about the service at another hotel by the waterfront, the three of us were relaxing in the pool. Cyclists visiting Bragança Pará should look this hostel up. I’d give it an 11, or maybe 1001, out of 10. I’ll be back. Thank you very much.
