Thermas Hotel Mossoró

The pools made the stay for me: the cooler ones are open during the day, then there are hot spring pools at night, which were amazing and helped me relax. The staff were really friendly and happy to handle reasonable requests, and everything was very clean. The rooms and facilities are dated, though. I came for a quick weekend stay, and this works well for a short getaway if you're nearby. For a quieter breakfast, get to the restaurant before 9:00 am.

We went to the "Christmas banquet" and the food was fine, but the table setup was awful. Nobody served us for the first hour. Four of us had to go speak to the staff before someone finally came by once. It really feels like you get what you pay for.

The kids loved the water park during our two-night stop, especially the three adult slides and two slides for kids. From 1100am to 2pm, there were just the three of us there (April 2023). The breakfast buffet was great too. Best passion fruit I've ever had, and they make omelettes and tapioca to order. I'll come back when we're in Brazil again and the kids are older. Finding the place in the dark and rain, just off the highway, was hard. The parking lot isn't paved, so we brought plenty of mud and dirt into the hotel on our first night. The horseback ride felt really sketchy. The guide's horse got spooked a couple of times, and the route went behind the hotel past its garbage dump. The kids didn't realize and enjoyed it, but I still wouldn't recommend the ride.

The rooms are a little old, but everything works. Service was fine, nothing particularly special. The thermal pools are the real draw here, and they're really good.
