Pousada Recanto da Chapada

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choices and tapioca or omelets made to order. The team was very friendly, and the pousada was clean. It's rustic and well located in Mucugê, with a pleasant garden at the entrance and a little balcony with a hammock off the room. The bathroom is simple, clean, and functional, though it could be more comfortable and better finished. I thought it was a bit expensive for what it offers, but prices throughout the city are higher because it's in the Chapada Diamantina tourist region.

The place is nice and they offer coffee in the afternoon. Room cleaning only happens in the morning, and it could be more thorough: we found an empty energy drink bottle under the bed. The mattresses felt a bit too soft, though it seems they're going to be replaced with orthopedic ones. Sometimes there isn't anyone at reception when you want to ask for something or get information.

A great option if you're passing through or visiting Mucugê. It's close to the center, the service is great, and breakfast has plenty of variety, including fresh tapioca.

The rooms are basic but cozy, and the whole place feels peaceful and family-run. The welcome was warm, and breakfast was carefully prepared. They also sell local products and offer tourist guides right at the inn.
