The service was excellent, the kind that makes you want to come back. Hotel da Laura also has a great location and really welcoming hospitality.

There’s no minibar in the rooms and not a single TV anywhere in the inn. When I was there, the power went out, so there was no internet and we couldn’t sleep because we couldn’t turn on a fan and there were lots of mosquitoes. Then the water went off on the day we left, so we couldn’t shower. Never again.

It’s good value compared with other places. The room has no TV or minibar, but I didn’t miss them. We used a freezer in the hallway close to our room, and being able to use the kitchen made a big difference. Breakfast didn’t include fruit or juice.

Dona Laura is a wonderful person, charismatic, friendly, and attentive, and the service was first-rate. I loved the place: it felt homey and cozy, and the price was really good. Nothing but praise from me.
