D Beach Resort

My wife and I had a wonderful three-day stay. The hotel faces Ponta Negra beach, and we enjoyed the great food and nice pool facilities.

The staff were amazing and always ready to help. Our room was a little outdated compared with our friend's, but it was comfortable and clean. The restaurant has good choices at reasonable prices, and there's entertainment, a good free breakfast, a sauna, and a nice little game room. There are also photography, rental car, and excursion services, plus a clothing store. Pay attention to your room's location when booking: the higher up ones can involve quite a walk, though they come with amazing views.

The pool, tasty food, and friendly staff made a great impression, and getting down to the beach was easy. The walk up to some rooms can be a bit of a workout, though, and the hotel isn't ideally placed for restaurants or shops. Reaching those means using a rather odd alley, and I ended up needing an Uber whenever I went out. A good fit if hills are no problem for you.

We stayed in room 103 and weren't warned that it would be noisy throughout the day. There was loud music and promotional noise at night and during siesta hours. The resort itself is in an excellent spot. Food was okay, though the fruit juices could be better, while the sweet desserts were excellent.
