Beautiful.

The best parts were the air conditioning, the freshly made tapioca and eggs, and the location near the beach, a pharmacy, and a laundromat. But I wouldn’t stay here again. We spent eight nights and only came back to sleep because we’d already paid more than R$3,000. The room was in poor shape, with unfinished paintwork and leaks, and the pillows, towels, and sheets were old. The bathroom was bad too, and the shower had almost no pressure. Daily cleaning mostly meant a quick wipe with bleach and making the beds. The bathroom, shower stall, and mirror were still dirty. Breakfast was basic. The fruit sat unrefrigerated for a long time in a room without air conditioning, and one day the ham was nearly green. I wouldn’t have eaten it. Over our eight days, breakfast included cake, bread, processed ham, cheese, fresh tapioca and scrambled eggs, melon, papaya, guava, mango, water, two kinds of juice, yogurt, sausage, and couscous. The inn urgently needs better housekeeping and hotel services. I can’t recommend it and wouldn’t return.

The room had a few problems: sometimes there was a bad smell from the bathroom, ants were all over it, and the sheets and towels had stains. The shower swung between very hot and very cold, and its switch was inside the stall right under the showerhead. The pool was a little dirty too, with pigeon feathers around it and more flying nearby. The location was handy, close to restaurants, a 24-hour market, shops, and the beach. Service was never an issue; everyone was helpful. Breakfast was nice, with some variety and changes from day to day, plus a lovely view of Morro do Careca.

Definitely worth the price. The staff were great throughout our stay, especially Cauan, who was so attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious too. I’d recommend it if you’re looking to spend less and still get really good service.
