Pousada Villarejo

Awesome.

I’ve stayed at pousada Vilarejo twice, and it has the comfortable, familiar feel of being at home. Otávio is warm, understanding, and always ready to help with whatever comes up. The place is pleasant and pretty, with clean rooms, a good pool, a barbecue area, and a well-equipped kitchen where you can cook and spend time with your group. There’s 24-hour access, a sense of security, and plenty of independence. Prices are attractive, and the location is handy, with what you need on the street and the central part of Ponta Negra beach nearby. I love going there and recommend it.

The pool was great for a swim, and the beach, market, and bakery are nearby. My family and I had a really good stay: the owner’s service was excellent, the room was clean and smelled fresh, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple but had a bit of everything and tasted great. We spent three days there and everything went as it should. I recommend the pousada.

The place itself is quite pretty, but I didn’t enjoy my stay. The room had cockroaches and the mattress smelled of urine. The beach is at least about 2 km away. Mr. Otávio treated me badly because I arrived drunk and couldn’t open the door, and I felt he looked down on people who like going out for drinks. I’d only recommend staying here if there’s nowhere better available, since it’s still better than sleeping on the street. Thanks, Mr. Otávio.
