Forte Hotel Ranghetti

Kind of wonderful.

Great.

The breakfast was the highlight, with fresh juice and a good range of breads, as in the photos. The room was basic, with a double bed and no chair, though you can ask for one to use at the desk. The internet was really fast, and the electric shower worked. The receptionist treated me well. There’s a bar nearby, but not many restaurants around, mostly small snack places. The hotel itself is very simple, and the black and white tiles are clearly the builder’s taste. There’s only one garage space, so you may need to move your car in the morning to let another guest out.

I paid 200 reais a night and got woken at 6:30 in the morning to move my car because the garage only fits two cars parked one behind the other. The room had no window and just two power outlets, so I had to go out to the street to work and hope the poor Wi-Fi would hold up. There was only one bath towel for two people, and apparently no need for a face towel. The bathroom was so tiny I had to sit sideways to use the toilet. Breakfast didn’t even include fruit. A terrible stay. I wouldn’t recommend it and will never come back.
