The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful, and breakfast was good. My room was clean and fresh, with effective air conditioning, a window that opened, and nice lighting choices. I liked the Velcro on the curtains, which kept the light out. The soap and shampoo were pleasant and mild, probably a good fit for people sensitive to perfumes. One day my sheets and blanket smelled as though they’d been sprayed with something chemical. I told the front desk I was allergic, and housekeeping promptly changed them. Great service. The key kept deactivating, so I often had to ask for it to be reset when I got back in the evening. Before I figured that out, after a long day of avoiding public toilets, I once nearly peed my pants waiting to get in. There’s no safe in the room, but nothing was stolen. The motion-activated hallway lights kept switching off while I waited for the elevator, which was mildly annoying. The bus stop is right outside, with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. I didn’t have a specific moment when I felt unsafe, but I avoided going out alone after dark. A woman attending the event I was in Niteroi for was stabbed and mugged at the beach, a block from the hotel, when it was well lit and other people were around. She’s okay. Traffic is much more dangerous than I’m used to in Canada. I’m glad I didn’t rent a vehicle, though others who did seemed to manage. If you drive, stay very alert for motorcyclists, who ride between lanes. A tragic accident happened while I was in the city.

The internet in the room never worked for me unless I stayed right by the door. There were no bathroom amenities, and nowhere to hang the towels. Breakfast was poor, and the buffet food took a long time to be replenished.

We spent 15 nights here for Carnival in Rio and loved the hotel and everyone there. It’s friendly and beautiful, and everything was very clean. Housekeeping kept our room clean every single night, everything worked, and we had no complaints. The restaurant food was excellent, and breakfast was very good. Julio, Cintia, and Danielle in the restaurant did everything they could to make us feel at home and made our stay the best. Victor and Eric at the front desk were very friendly and helped us with everything. Many thanks to everyone for a great stay. We liked it all.

The service is excellent, and breakfast is good with long serving hours. The hotel has a beautiful modern design, and the rooms are well kept, although a little small. The air conditioning worked fantastically. Our view was of other buildings and the street. I did miss having a terrace or pool.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was good, and the hotel is very close to the beach. The double room was a good size, with a comfortable bed, decent TV, and good air conditioning. There’s a coffee machine in the room, but no kettle for making tea. A good hotel in Icaraí, with reasonable prices.
